About this app

Mobile Translate MD is a medical phrasebook for healthcare professionals and students. It provides a wide array of commonly used medical phrases and is intended to help overcome language barriers and assist in communicating with non-English-speaking patients.*

This application aims to assist at all points of the consultation, from history and examination through to the end-point, whether it be health promotion, medication or even surgery.

Audio makes communicating even easier as it teaches you the correct pronunciation in your chosen language.**

Mobile Translate MD aims to help patients understand their disease and treatment, thereby improving adherence to treatment; improve patient satisfaction with the healthcare they receive, decrease healthcare costs and avoid medico-legal issues by helping patients and doctors to talk to one another.

If you would like to get involved with this project, feel free to email us at mobilexhosa@gmail.com or join our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mobiletranslate/.
