- Will the exam have the same questions as the app?
Yes, the questions are fully consistent with the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. We are constantly monitoring updates and adjusting questions if any changes occur in the GIMS database.
- Why are there errors in some questions?
Unfortunately, there are still some errors and inaccuracies in the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) testing. If you are certain that we have an error or inaccuracy, please let us know via the feedback form.
- Why are there identical questions in different sections?
Questions in the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) testing overlap between sections. This is completely normal, as some rules, such as "Fire Prevention," do not differ significantly across vessel types.
- How will the GIMS exam be conducted in 2026?
As of March 1, 2022, the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) exam format has changed. The theoretical exam is now taken on an automated system (computer). The question database is shared across all regions. The examinee's exam form is generated using a computer. The questions on the exam form will only be from the lists of selected regions and vessel types.
