This is how you get started with BeterDichtbij

1. Your healthcare provider invites you. You will receive an email about this. Handy: you can use BeterDichtbij to contact multiple healthcare providers.
2. Download and activate the app: you do this once. You then also set your own PIN code, which you then use to log in securely.
3. Send your first message. Share your question, photo or file with your healthcare provider to start the conversation. Your care provider can also make an appointment with you to make video calls via BeterDichtbij.

Your privacy and security guaranteed
When it comes to your health, it is of course very important that you can ask your questions in a secure environment. And that you are sure that what you share does not fall into the wrong hands. You can count on that at BeterDichtbij. We are happy to explain to you what our principles are.

it is all in Dutch with no option for English and the staff is apparently unwilling to consider its international clients' accessibility issues. hugely disappointing. especially considering the amount of money you are obliged to pay for these services.

logs me out every now and then i have to activate again. this is serious as I can miss notification messages from my diabetes nurse when it logs me out!
