Stress Autism Mate (SAM) app is a scientifically based personalized application made for and by people with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
SAM can help to gain insight into the daily and weekly experienced stress, but also into the activities that go well during the day and week. By generating a daily overview and a weekly overview of the stress and the activities undertaken with it, a good picture can be created of the moments that go well, that sometimes go well and sometimes go badly, and that go badly during the day and the week. Based on this overview, it becomes easier to adjust your rhythm and influence or maintain your stress level when things are going well. SAM also provides guidance for sharing your data with others on your own initiative. SAM provides an overview of daily and weekly stress by asking questions 4 times a day about the activities of the past 4 hours and the associated stress signals. SAM calculates how your stress level was during the past 4 hours based on your answers. SAM does this with a scientifically based algorithm.
SAM was created at the request of clients with ASD. SAM was created for and by clients with ASD in collaboration with GGz Centraal and TNO. You can personalize your own SAM by setting the times of the questionnaires and the days on which questions come. You also set your own personal stress tips. You can choose colorful graphs or graphs in shades of blue and you can choose to judge the activities with emoticons or in language.
