About this app

SAM supports people with autism in dealing with daily experienced stress.

Stress Autism Mate (SAM) App is a scientifically based, personalized application created for and by people with autism spectrum disorder. The app was developed by GGz Centraal in co-creation with clients with autism and in collaboration with the research organization TNO.

With SAM you can:
• Fill out a questionnaire 2 to 4 times a day
• Based on these questionnaires, determine your current stress level
(SAM uses a scientifically validated algorithm for this)
• Get an overview of the moments and your daily activities that go well and those that go less well
• Get tips to reduce your stress at any time of the day
• Enter your own tips or try those of others

But also:
• Use the diary to write down your thoughts and feelings
• Customize the settings so that the application suits you well
• Discuss your weekly overview with a friend, loved one or practitioner (but only if you want to, you are in control)

SAM, against the stress of today and tomorrow.

It's not very accurate, for instance I had an event that's usually pretty stressful for me but in the end it still didn't change anything in the overall stress levels. App is also missing something where you could fill in if you're sick or in pain that calculates towards the overall stress - there's not much on the physical contributors to stress in the app. And the antistress tips are very generic and not fitting situation. Plus the short availability frames for question list.

Dear Ilze, thank you for the review. The questions are validated to reliably (95%) calculate stress levels. Our scientific research showed that physical factors indeed don't relate strongly to stress and that people are very capable of thinking how to lower their stress levels. The app also encourages you to fill in your own stress tips. -SAM

The app doesn't seem to point to any place where one can submit feedback. It's Sudoku, not soduku.
