About this app

It is important that you properly separate your waste at home, so that all valuable materials can be recycled. In the app you can see at a glance when we collect the waste and what belongs where. We provide tailor-made advice and send reminders at important moments.

When will the waste be collected?
Bowl full? Do the neighbors put their bowl outside? These are often cues that remind you that the bin will be emptied on that day. But to be sure on which days we will empty your bin(s), you can also look in our app. By typing in your zip code and house number, you can see when which bin is emptied. You can also indicate whether you want to receive notifications about this. The addresses of the nearest waste disposal station and the locations of containers in the district can also be found in the HVC waste app.

What belongs where?
It is not always immediately clear in which bin/bag you throw which type of waste. That is why there is also a handy waste guide in the app. You can see at a glance where it belongs for more than 1,000 products. For example, are you unsure about where to dispose of Styrofoam? Check it out in the app!

Less residual waste
Residual waste is all the waste that remains that can no longer be separated and that does not fall under bulky waste. The better you separate waste, the less residual waste you will have. Our app challenges you to keep as little residual waste as possible. This way you can influence your recycling rate!

Recycle rate
Has your municipality introduced a recycling rate? In the app you can see how often your container for residual waste has been emptied, or how often you have used the underground container for residual waste. In the app you set a goal yourself, focused on the number of times you have residual waste collected/use the underground container for residual waste. The app will help you achieve this goal. This fits well with the recycle rate; the better you separate waste, the less residual waste remains. This way you ensure that the variable part of your recycling rate remains low.
