Blue Water App, one of Europe’s leading online booking platforms for marinas, starts the new sailing season with a complete new version of the successful booking app, which was launched in April this year. The new free Android Blue Water App uses the latest software technology, has a modern design, operates very fast and gained many new functions including an easy registration process with a Facebook or email account. The sailors have access to complete information about the marinas, the available facilities and services and attractions in the area. They can now also share the rating of a marina with others and in this way all Blue Water App users have now a complete overview of the marina and the available berths for their boat. Download now Blue Water App and book and pay for a marina berth with a few clicks on your smart phone.
The new Blue Water App is compliance with the new GDPR European data protection legislation and users can be assured that their data and privacy are well protected.
We recommend that you have a good WIFI or 4G connection when you download Blue Water App, because the app contains a considerable amount of marina data and the download process can take a few minutes for older phones or smart phones with a slow processor. After the download is completed, Blue Water asks permission to use your GPS location and to send push messages. These are important tools to process your booking as quickly as possible. Blue Water App uses a unique iBeacon technology, which enables a direct communication between your phone and the marina systems. We ask you to switch on your Bluetooth connection when you use Blue Water App or when you approach a marina so that we can guarantee the best connection between you and the marina.
After downloading the app, you can set up a basic profile; the boat information can be found by typing your boat model in the search bar or by checking the list of brands. If your boat is not listed then you click on “Add a yacht” and you can enter the details of your boat. When you make your first booking with Blue Water App, you will be asked to enter your credit card details. Blue Water App uses Stripe, which is one of the largest international payment providers which guarantees a secure payment process. Your credit card details will be stored by Stripe in a secure way so that you do not need to enter these data again for future bookings. After your booking you will receive a confirmation by email. A number of marinas which use Blue Water App allow sailors to select your berth and in this way you can guarantee your favourite spot! Blue Water App is expanding fast in Europe and we have now more than 130 marinas where you can book your berth; these marinas are listed with a green anchor symbol on map in Blue Water App. We wish you an enjoyable trip.
