When declaring costs, the app randomly decides to crash when you take too long. This app is basically a portal function to their website, a tad bit old fashion and lacks the convinence of a modern app.

This app doesn't work. It crashes on startup, and just gives a generic "something has gone wrong" error message. I've contacted their support department, but after about a month I've yet to receive anything but emails asking for my personal details (which have no bearing on the issue), and no solution of any kind. I'm considering moving to an insurer that has a working app, and actually takes complaints seriously. Steer clear of this one. EDIT (version 6.2.0): The problem still persists.

Using email and password to login is cumbersome, PIN would be much better. I have never been able to adjust the photo of the declaration to send as all I can see is a black screen. When sending the declaration fails you get no message as to why it failed, it must have something to do with the quality of the attached photo but no further info is given. Another shortcoming is that the app can't be used to view communication between user and health insurer so you always have to login to their website to see this and the outcome of your declaration. This was all possible with the app of my previous health insurer, which also had a PIN for logging in and an option to see the health insurance cards of all the family members, very useful if you need the numbers when at the hospital etc. In short, a rather restricted app that only allows you to do a few things but for others you still to use the website.
Hi Angela. Thanks for your review. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of text to reply so I'll keep it brief :-( The idea of the app is to login once with your Mijn OHRA credentials. Due to a bug, this isn't always working as it should. Showing communication in the app is a big wish for me too but there are technical things standing in the way.
