About this app

RailPilot supports train drivers with a clear and uncluttered overview of their train journey. Enter a train number or search for a nearby train using your location. RailPilot then displays the route, stops, departure times, and the progress of the journey.

The app is designed to make important information quickly readable, without unnecessary distractions.

Large departure mode

The large departure mode displays only the most important information for departure. The next or current stop, departure time, countdown timer, and distance are displayed in a large, uncluttered manner. This ensures the information remains easily readable even from a distance. Location and GPS

RailPilot may use the device's location to find nearby trains, determine the progress of a journey, and calculate the distance to the next stop. Location access is voluntary and can be disabled via the device settings.

Timetable and real-time information

The displayed information is based on available timetable data and real-time data sources. Due to changes, disruptions, a missing internet connection, or delays in data sources, information may sometimes be incomplete or not up-to-date.

RailPilot is a supplementary tool. The app does not replace official timetables, railway safety regulations, directions, operating information, or other systems prescribed by the carrier. Always check important information via the official channels of your employer or carrier.

Privacy

RailPilot operates without a personal user account. No personal data is sold, and your location is not used for advertising. More information can be found in RailPilot's privacy policy.
