Vision
You're probably familiar with the situation: eyewitnesses capturing high-profile events on camera. A scene where the line between right and wrong is razor-thin. Which event do you record and which don't? But also: do you provide immediate assistance, or do you first grab your phone to take a video or photo? Many of these recordings are spread across various social media platforms and can therefore be difficult to find. Our vision is to bring all this footage to a single platform and remind eyewitnesses that providing assistance takes precedence over creating newsworthy video footage. Providing assistance and creating a news video can go hand in hand, but only in the right order.
StreApp®
StreApp offers this space. Through our news platform, which stands for Stream Application, you can watch and/or post news videos 24/7, anywhere in the world. News videos of special events: live and raw, just like life itself, but with an eye for those involved.
How it Works
Are you an eyewitness? Will you film immediately, or will you first alert the emergency services and provide first aid? A specially built-in notification will remind you that providing assistance always comes first! We link news videos based on location, so you can see all available content for the relevant event at a glance.
StreApp doesn't differentiate itself by posting content about events that take place daily; it differentiates itself by focusing on the people involved in traumatic events. With our blur function, we do our best to automatically anonymize them as much as possible in certain cases. We also offer specialists the opportunity to become a StreApp Reporter.
With our collection of news videos, we offer third parties, such as news broadcasters, the option to download content directly from our platform. The fee we charge for using this content is paid to the witness.
