About this app

Kulturjakten is an app that will convey cultural heritage in a forward-looking and interactive way. By taking cultural walks, visiting cultural treasures and participating in healthy points competition with friends and others, we want to activate, teach and engage the population.

Cultural treasures

A Kulturskatt is a cultural monument where you as a user can check in and earn points. At Kulturskatten you will have access to informative texts about the cultural monument and will be able to answer a question. If you answer correctly, you get extra points that you can collect and compete with.

Cultural tour

Through a Culture Walk, you can, for example, follow in the footsteps of a famous historical figure or follow a cultural journey. The walk consists of several stops with information and a question at the end. If you answer correctly, you get extra points that you can compete with. You can take breaks in walks and resume them if desired.

General information about Cultural treasures and tours:

- You must be in geographical proximity to the marker to be able to open it.

- When a marker is unlocked, you will get access to information about the marker.

- You can open markers once per 24 hours, but once the marker has been opened you can read the information unlimitedly within that 24 hours - regardless of where you are.

- When the marker is opened, it will be marked as green on the map.

- In order for the service to be as educational and entertaining as possible, all cultural treasures contain scrolling descriptions and questions. This means that there are several unique descriptions linked to each Cultural Treasure so that you as a user can visit the cultural monument several times within a short time and still learn something new through new information.

You get points for every Culture Tax or hike you complete. You use the points to compete for your position on the leaderboards.

On the map you will find all published cultural treasures and walks. These are marked as markers on the map. You can also filter based on category. When you have opened a Cultural Treasure/Walk it will be marked green on the map. In the top left corner, you see how many steps you have taken with Kulturjakten, and in the top right, you see which area you are in.

On the leaderboard you can see the points of all users who have chosen to be publicly visible. The points are accumulated by visiting Kulturskatter and -walks. The top three user profiles with the most points are also displayed on a medal podium. The leaderboards are divided into:

- Local: This is the leaderboard for all public users in your municipality.
- Friends: This is the leaderboard among your friends.
- All: This is the leaderboard for all public users who are in the Kulturjakten.
