About this app

Parently – for better parent collaboration

Parently brings together everything parents need to collaborate on their children's school and kindergarten routines: class lists, events, announcements, FAU matters and messages. Safe, clear and in one place.

HOME – THE MOST IMPORTANT FIRST
• Overview of what's coming up and the latest announcements
• Dedicated cards for what needs attention: invitations, requests and approvals
• Shortcuts to new events, new announcements, messages and the class list

CLASS LIST
• Updated class list with children and parents – right in the app
• Call, send an email, open the address in maps or start a conversation
• Search across classes, grades and schools you have access to
• Previous classes are taken care of
• Birthdays are displayed in the list

EVENTS
• Create events
• Registration with attending / not attending, and a full overview of who has responded to what
• Tasks – for example, baking cakes, driving or volunteering
• Invite classes, grades or the entire school, with or without siblings
• Comments, reactions and photos
• Custom reminders per event: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day or a time of your choice yourself

ANNOUNCEMENTS
• Share information with the class, grade or school

CONVERSATIONS
• One-to-one or group messaging, in real time
• Create groups across classes, grades and schools
• Name the conversation, add participants or leave the conversation

FAU
• Overview of FAU cases: proposals, active cases and completed cases
• Suggest new cases to the FAU board
• View the FAU board, members and class contacts for your classes

CHILDREN, PARENTS AND APPROVALS
• Add children by searching for the school or kindergarten in the public register
• Select grade and class – or department in the kindergarten
• Invite co-parents with mobile numbers or directly from the app
• New class placements are approved by the parents who are already in the class
• Next school year: the child is moved up automatically, and you confirm, change class or choose a new school

PRIVACY AND CONTROL
• You decide what is shared: hidden, only the class or the whole school
• Hide a child completely in the app when the family needs extra protection
• Secure login with Vipps / BankID
• You control the notifications yourself

IN ADDITIONALLY
• The content is stored locally, so the app also works when the network is poor
• Light and dark theme
• Available in Norwegian Bokmål, Nynorsk, Northern Sami and 22 other languages

Parently is made for Norwegian schools and kindergartens. If you have suggestions for what could be improved, you can send them directly from the app.

Alle foresatte i klassen er nå samlet i én samtale som følger klassen når familier kommer og går. På hendelser ser du hvem som tar hvilken oppgave, og FAU-styret har fått den samme FAU-menyen som alle andre.
