About this app
✔️ Listen to all the popular Norwegian radio channels you know from DAB and FM radio directly, including local radio from all over the country.
✔️ Podcast player with the popular Norwegian podcasts.
✔️ Small, fast and simple app that takes up very little space.
✔️ There are no in-app purchases, it's completely free. You must not create an account or register. Just select the channel and turn up the volume!
News app with RSS reader: Stay informed with the latest updates from Norwegian online newspapers. The app retrieves the latest articles at the same time as the newspapers publish them online.
Send the sound to external speakers with Buetooth or just use the headphone jack.
Local radio online: Now you can listen to your local radio wherever you are, regardless of geographical distance. Choose from a long list of local radio stations from all over Norway.
The live broadcast can be paused and resumed from where it was paused, or you can jump back to the live broadcast in real time.
The app is a simple browser. When you listen to the radio or podcast, you are in principle visiting the radio channel's own official website (and are counted and registered as a listener) in the same way as when you use a normal browser on your computer or an online radio, and with the same sound quality.
NB: This app has been designed without advanced features on purpose, to be as small and efficient as possible (approx. 3MB!). I hope this is taken into account when commenting. Thank you very much.
Permissions: These 3 permissions are usually set automatically. If not, you can turn them on in your Android settings (settings > apps > Norsk Radio App > Permissions/rights). 1: Prevent the phone from sleeping (so that the music does not stop when the screen saver goes on) 2: Internet access (for radio/news) 3: Storage (to remember favorite channels).
This app is a product of personal interest in radio technology and has no commercial affiliation. All radio advertising comes from the selected radio channel or podcast you are listening to.
