Inspired by the simple question, “Aaja kati gatey?”(What’s today’s date?), Nepali Patro, Nepal’s first digital calendar has grown into a trusted platform helping Nepalese around the world stay connected to Tithi–Miti, festivals, and their cultural roots.

We believe a calendar is more than a tool to check dates. It is a living cultural bridge that connects our traditions, values, and shared identity across generations and geographies. With this belief and our new identity, we will continue to keep Nepalese around the world informed and connected, through meaningful information, creative expression, promotion of arts, and evolving technology.

The new logo presents an abstract form of the Nepali letter “ने”, symbolizing Nepal and Nepali identity. It also reflects the dynamic motion of a calendar in transition, capturing the continuous flow of time and change. This is not just a visual update, but a deeper expression of who we are and what we stand for.

With this, Nepali Patro aims to further strengthen its role in bringing together culture, community, creativity, and technology, creating a more meaningful and inspiring experience for all.

The application's functionality is commendable, user-friendly, and efficient. However, there is an issue with the date notification not appearing in the notification bar after a certain period, even when sticky notification is enabled. Additionally, if there are other notifications on the phone, they must be manually checked from the notification list. Occasionally, news and other notifications from app may merge, failing to display the date.

Absoluetely great! (9/19/2016 Review) The widget doesn't update the date. This problem was there before too, but opening the app would update the widget. Now even opening the app doesn't update the widget. My widget still reads 15 Gate. (1/2/2026 Review)

Please add alarm feature too with alarm tone as selected fm radio frequency. It will be most exciting for people living abroad. Early morning nepali radio as alarm tone.
