The essential roadtrippers travel companion and tool to help you explore New Zealand and Australia without the stress and hassle that can come with travelling in a new place, or with running out of petrol. You'll find all that you need to know - the app displays your current GPS location then shows the nearest campsites and holiday parks, (free and paid), petrol stations, free wifi, supermarkets, dump stations, public toilets, LPG filing stations, laundromats - pretty much everything you need for your road trip. You'll also be able to watch helpful 'how to' operate your vehicle videos and join in the conversations as travellers leave tips and recommendations about where to stay and what to do. And if roads are closed the helpful real-time road alerts will let you know.

App was the worst part of my campervan experience. We had good cellular coverage, the instructional page for the campervan kept saying "an error has occurred" while we were trying to view the instructions for how to use the campervan, the embedded YouTube videos were playing the the whole app would go black and say error. Tried 3x phones. What's worse, the THL app wouldn't even let me click the video to open it in the YouTube app to actually watch it. Had to call support & wait 15 mins instead.

It's great when you preload the maps and quite accurate when we used the app on a 3500km drive. So amazing at locating petrol stations, dump points, gas refills and other relevant unique camping needs. It would be even better if you could put your journey into the setting directly too. It's so good, put my mind at rest in new areas and made the trip safer.

Tried downloading the offline maps on 3 different networks. Failed every time with Check Your Internet Connection. Plenty of storage available on phone. App up to date. So no maps for us. Sucks. Nobody to solve the prob at check-in, not that they should be tech experts.
