The Metlink app is used by thousands of commuters every day, that’s why having a modern, user-friendly app is so important to receive timely, accurate information about their journey on Wellington's public transport network.

We've made key features more accessible and user friendly:
- It's now easier to look up a service or stop with the upgraded search function.
- You can now plan your journeys with clearer options, timings and easily identify where vehicles are located.
- Service alerts are now relevant to your selected journey or service.
- The map view shows all stops, with quick access to their real time information and facilities.
- Timetables are now simpler to use online.
- Access key transport information through the main navigation.

Ratings and reviews

Not working very well unfortunately. Sometimes the keyboard closes after typing the first letter. Not possible to click on favorite stations in journey planning mode. And worst of all: It's not possible to save a specific route as favorite. Why? Every commuter has a daily route. I want to check when a train or bus will depart to leave from home/work without waiting at the station.

Fix your app, the most recent update doesn't even work. When trying to track a bus, I can click into any of them, it just doesn't work which is so dissapointing because I loved how you can see where it is, even if it was slow. I've tried everything to get it to work, I tried the website, deleting it and reinstalling it, but ever since I updated it, it has not worked

It seems that every time the app is updated you get the introductory screen and lose your login. This could account for the previous review saying they didn't get alerts as they were probably logged out. About as efficient as the bus service. And please don't give me your standard reply to email you. You have all the information you need, perhaps just hire someone who knows how to update apps while keeping users logged in.
