Lost Years shows you where your phone time actually goes and what those hours could be — not to guilt you, but to make the trade-off visible.
Lost Years shows you your phone usage as a percentage of your time, then translates it into what else you could do with that time: books read, walks taken, hours of sleep, etc.
The goal is awareness, not control. What you do with that information is up to you.
Lost Years:
- Time per app as a share of your total time
- Opportunity-cost framing (e.g. 6h this week = 1 book read)
- Full breakdown of every app on your device, not just a curated list. You are free to remove any apps you don't want to track.
Completely private:
Lost Years requires no internet connection and no accounts. Your usage data never leaves your phone. Everything is stored locally and stays exactly where it should, with you.
Note that Lost Years requires Usage Access permission to read app usage data. This is never shared with anyone beyond yourself.
