An application that uses Augumented Reality technology for education. The transformation of carbon regions is an extremely difficult topic. The involvement of the youngest generations is a challenge for modern education. Our application allows you to make a unique trip to places that will soon begin to change - an extraordinary adventure in the Turoszów region, where approx. 5% of electricity in Poland is currently produced. What to do with the excavation - a huge hole left by the mined coal? How to develop the power plant area where there are huge chimneys today? What will our world around us look like in 10-15 years? We can influence it! Some of these ideas can be checked in 3D using an application in the vicinity of Turnów or using printed worksheets.
In order to make young generations aware of the consequences of changes and transformations in the region as a result of the region's transformation and what it will be like or what it may look like in the future, ZKlaster has developed a system based on the idea of educational paths, but in the augmented reality technology - Augumented Reality.
The assumption of the project was to build an educational trail as a walking trail, along the route of which there are the most interesting natural, historical and technical objects, as well as the main objects of the existing monoculture of the mining industry, which will be transformed as a result of the region's transformation and decarbonisation. The path created in the Turoszów area shows the future state of five selected places characteristic for the region in relation to their present appearance.
