About this game

Magur Disisir! is the Erub Mer version of the internationally recognisied Feed the Monster early literacy game. Magur Disisir! is a fun, offline game that provides learners of all ages - especially children - with a multi sensory and interactive way to explore the fundamentals of reading in Erub Mer. Players will develop knowledge of Erub Mer letters and sounds, and will use these skills to spell a number of common Erub Mer words. All through the journey, players will watch their monsters grow and mature.

Magur Disisir was developed with the support of the Torres Strait Regional Authority under the Cultural Art and Heritage Programme, and under the supervision of the Gur A Baradharaw Kod Torres Strait Sea and Land Council Torres Strait Islander Corporation (GBK).

The Feed The Monster artwork is CC-BY licensed artwork and the Feed The Monster source code is an open source BSD 2-clause license. Originally developed by a consortium led by [Apps Factory](http://www.appsfactory.ro/), this version (Magur Disisir) is developed with the assistance of the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and the Living First Language Platform.
