PREPARING FOR AN ASSESSMENT?

Nonverbal reasoning tests are widely used in school admissions, competitive exams, graduate schemes and job interviews — especially for quantitative roles in finance, consulting, engineering and software. The question types here are the ones those assessments draw on: inductive and logical reasoning, numerical reasoning, abstract pattern recognition and spatial ability.

HINTS AND SOLUTIONS

Most questions come with a hint and a worked explanation. Reviewing why an answer is right is where the practice actually pays off, so the review screen shows the rule behind each question, not just the correct option.

HOW THE IQ SCORE WORKS

Your score is compared against other people who have taken the same test, in your age group. Each standard deviation away from the average counts as 15 IQ points, and your percentile is calculated from that.

An honest note: the people who download an IQ practice app are, on average, more interested in this than the general population — and probably score higher. That means an IQ figure from this app is likely to read LOWER than one based on the general public. Treat it as a way to measure your own progress over time, not as a clinical assessment.

FREE AND OFFLINE

Taking the tests and getting your score works with no internet connection and costs nothing. There is an optional one-off purchase to remove ads.

AVAILABLE IN 31 LANGUAGES

The app is fully translated into 31 languages. Note that the two word games (Word unscramble and Word Grid) use English words, whatever language the app is set to — every other test is language-independent.

Ratings and reviews

Assuming that scores are based on data collected from testees (along with equipercentile equating for prior results), this app is likely much more accurate than many others out there. I would be interested to see additional data, since I doubt 553 on 2D-VS or 35 on cubes represents the 99.999th percentile. A histogram or at least some additional statistical parameters (SD, skewness, kurtosis, n, etc.) would be nice. Since verbal tests are usually more g-loaded, it could help to add one.

What a load of bull. How many different iq results do I have to read before I find out which I got. Took ages to get app to open but only to close again. Uninstalling. Don't need any automated message either. This app blows more wind than an old man. Questions I got wrong on this were correct on other more profound apps. Thanks for waisting my time.

really odd app, its not very precise and has cut corners, for example in the "cut letters" section J is often the only answer to straight line with resemble l or i... anyway there are no real "statistics" that can tell you your standing. Edit: meaningful stats are not the mean, it should include the number of players & standard deviation to give you an idea of the sample size of "players" you are participating with. BTW you can manage to cut the j fine in spatial awareness but not in cut letters
