About this app
The Biblicom app is a library that offers permanent access to the Bible; more than 1,000 articles, comments, meditations on the Word of God, Bible dictionaries and calendars, without the need for a permanent Internet connection.
She contains:
- the complete Bible (Reina Valera and Modern translations),
- an index of the main themes of the Christian faith,
- articles, studies, comments and meditations on many passages of the Bible,
- definitions from Bible dictionaries of the Old and New Testament,
- the devotional calendar “The Lord is Near”.
Some features
- You can add the page you are currently viewing to your favorites list. The app's home page contains a list of previously saved favorites.
- You can share the page you are currently viewing with your contacts and applications (to print, export as pdf...) with the button located at the bottom right of the screen.
- The screen remains on for 3 minutes when the Biblicom application is in the foreground, that is, longer than normal, to allow time for an in-depth reading of a page.
- Clicking on a link to a portal article will open the article in the Biblicom app. This allows you to perform a search using a conventional search engine and open the article in the Biblicom application.
Differences with the web portal
Unlike the biblicom.org web portal, the Android application does not include the following elements:
- Search engine, which includes biblical concordance (for this go to https://biblicom.org/buscar/ or https://biblicom.org/biblia/RV1960/buscar/, for example),
- Bible with parallel view to compare translations (for this go to https://biblicom.org/biblia/paralela/),
- audio files (for this, go to https://biblicaudio.org/),
- PDF/EPUB exports of articles and comments.
Phone memory management
To operate in offline mode (without an Internet connection), the biblicom.org portal data is installed in the phone's memory (approximately 100 MB). Data can be moved to SD card.
