About this app

ReCAD CMD is the chief officer's companion to Beacon ReCAD, the computer-aided dispatch system used by participating fire, EMS and public safety agencies.

Sign in with your agency's command unit and PIN, then unlock with your fingerprint or face.

SEE YOUR PEOPLE
• Your agency's units on a live map, with status and current call
• Tap a unit to center on it, see its crew, or get directions

CALLS
• Open incidents for your agency, and the last 24 hours
• Call type, address, assigned units and times at a glance

EMERGENCY ALERTS
• When one of your units activates its emergency button, your phone sounds a distinct alert
• Opens straight to that unit: live location, current call, crew, and one-tap MESSAGE and NAVIGATE (Google Maps)

MESSAGES
• Message dispatch and your agency's units
• Messages that arrive while you're offline are waiting for you when you sign back in

YOUR SETTINGS
• Choose which alerts make a sound, send a notification or flash the screen
• Location sharing is off by default. When you turn it on, your position is shared with your dispatch center only while the app is open. It never tracks you in the background.

Each agency sees only its own units, calls and messages.

ReCAD CMD requires an account from an agency that uses Beacon ReCAD. It does not work on its own and is not for the general public.
