COMMON QUESTIONS:
Q: Do I need to be connected to the Internet?
A cellular network or a wireless Internet connection is required to purchase tickets, but you can use your activated tickets offline.

Q: What if my battery dies?
Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times, so be sure to plan ahead!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- Don't uninstall the Caltrain Mobile app or erase your phone while you have active tickets on it. Your tickets are stored on your phone (which makes it possible to use them without a cellular network or a wireless Internet connection), so uninstalling the app can permanently erase your tickets!
- Purchase your ticket right before boarding.
- Show your ticket to the conductor upon request.
- Watch your battery level! Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times.

Ratings and reviews

Convenient. Positive: I love that I can buy the ticket when boarding and don't have to remember to tag out with clipper card after the trip ends. Can be improved: couple times after the purchase was complete, it didn't show, so I tried to buy a new ticket when the original purchase was already approved.

Does not work at times. Most of the time when I go to open the app, it just shows the loading screen and I never get passed that. When I sometimes do get passed that, it's impossible to buy a ticket because there is an error every time I try to check out. Pretty frustrating, I really hope they fix these issues soon. I am on a Pixel 6 (fyi for developers)

Useful app (only one that let's you buy caltrain tickets) but it's strangely clunky in places. There's no option to consult train schedules, which is bizarre. Purchasing tickets with Google Pay also requires 4-6 taps from the checkout screen. It asks me to re-select payment method from the menu every single time. Purchases are also laggy with no progress indication - I can see how this can lead to duplicate ticket purchases as others reviewers mentioned. Frustrating.
