The "Guide to the Evangelical World in Italy" project was born in 1998 from an idea of Giuseppe Scaringella, founder and national president of the Mission Cristo Regna Italia who will become its owner. After two years, it takes the name of "the Evangelical Guide" research and collaborations with various partners begin, in 2000 the first edition in paper format is produced with an attached CD-data support.
In 2007 the second paper version with 3200 churches and 800 works.
In 2013, in collaboration with CESNUR, “L'isola che c'è is produced for Sicily. Protestant communities (about 750 evangelical churches) in Sicily.
In 2017 a new collaboration was born to relaunch the new project of the evangelical guide with a new research and production on a digital platform.
From 2023 the new project “The Evangelical Guide” has been redesigned/redesigned as a simple collection of church data (level1) non-sensitive and public data (a common plaintext database).
