Open it, and that is all. A black screen, large white digits, hours and minutes. The screen stays on for as long as the app is open. Nothing else.
It is a clock for a bedside table, a desk, a kitchen counter, a stage — anywhere you need to read the time from across the room without touching your phone.
WHAT IS IN IT
• Big, heavy digits like a flip clock — readable from the other side of the room
• The screen never sleeps while the app is open
• Status and navigation bars hidden — only the time
• 24-hour or 12-hour: follow the phone, or pin it yourself
• Orientation: follow the phone, always upright, or always on its side
• Language: English or Русский, independent of the phone's language
• The digits shift a few pixels every minute so they cannot burn into an OLED screen
• Countdown timer: 5, 10, 15, 30 or 45 minutes with one tap. The remaining time shows under the clock, and a signal sounds when it runs out — even if you have switched to another app
Every setting lives in one dialog. Press and hold the screen to open it.
WHAT IS NOT IN IT
No advertising. No in-app purchases. No sign-up. No analytics. No internet access. The only permissions are notifications and an exact alarm, so the timer can go off in the background — nothing that touches your data. The download is under 200 KB.
No seconds, no date, no alarms, no weather, no widgets. And there never will be. That is the point.
WHY IT IS FREE
Made by people, for people.
There will never be advertising here. There is nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for, and nothing about you is collected. The app will always be free.
If you ever feel like paying for it — don't look for a button. Just help a stranger. That is the whole price.
That is what Darom means: given freely.
Darom is a community of people who make useful things and give them away. This clock is the first of them. The source is open under Apache 2.0 — take it, read it, improve it.
Runs on Android 5.0 and newer, which is to say very nearly every phone made in the last ten years.
Big white clock. The screen stays on. Free, no ads, forever.
