About this app

CapisciAMe AlterECO is an app designed to help people with speech impairments, such as dysarthria, who communicate in Italian but struggle to be easily understood by others. The app converts their voice into readable text and synthesized yet comprehensible speech in real time. Communication is thus made possible or at least simplified. The app also allows vocal interaction with LLM systems that provide easily accessible multilingual translation and search services.
AlterECO was born from the CapisciAMe project, with the aim of breaking down communication and digital barriers for those with atypical speech. The AlterECO app is currently in its experimental phase; it achieves the best results with people who actively participate in the project by donating their voice to the CapisciAMe app.
