Autumn 1797. The Military Frontier. A line of wooden watchtowers on the edge of the forest, and every night something comes out of it.
Bedem is a turn-based hex strategy game about holding that line. Day is yours: soldiers, iron and discipline. At dusk the lairs wake. At night the map turns against you: you see only as far as your fires, creatures move faster, and companies far from the light lose their nerve.
• 16 hand-built missions in two campaigns: the autumn Cordon and the Winter Cordon
• Heroes with their own abilities: a harambaša, a krsnik, a smuggler, a Glagolite scribe, a zduhač, a wise woman, a smith and a kresnica
• Creatures from Slavic folklore, each with its own rule: the vukodlak, the mora, the drekavac, the psoglav, the štrigun, the drowned dead, the vjedogonja, Morana herself
• Fire is everything: light fires, guard them, and do not let the dark reach the villages
• A fallen hero stays fallen for the rest of the campaign
• Three difficulty levels, a clear forecast before every attack, and an undo for movement
• Hand-painted art, original music on gusle and tambura
• Plays offline. No ads, no account, no tracking.
The first three missions are free. One purchase unlocks the rest of the game, both campaigns. Extra prestige and bringing a fallen hero back are optional purchases; the game is balanced to be won without them.
Available in English and Croatian.
