Classic Books is a free library of world classics on your phone. Over 25,000 works of Russian and foreign classic literature: novels, stories, and short stories worth reading at least once. Download a book once—then read offline, without internet or data.

No subscriptions, registration, or "previews": each book is available in its entirety, in the author's full version, and free.

🎧 READ ALOUDS
The app will read any book aloud using your Android's speech synthesis. Control from the lock screen, adjust the speed, and adjust the sleep timer. Turn on and listen to the book while driving, jogging, or before bed; the paragraph being read aloud is highlighted in the text.

⚙️ A CUSTOMIZE-FACING READER
• Page mode with page turn animation (flip, slide, fade) or vertical scrolling with autoscroll.
• Book-like fonts, size, line spacing, and syllable breaks—the text looks just like a paper book.
• Day and night themes: paper, sepia, night, custom background and text colors, and a blue light filter for reading in the dark.
• Scroll with volume buttons, orientation lock, "Keep screen on," sleep timer.
• The app remembers your reading position word for word and returns you to where you left off.
• Backup – your books and settings won't be lost when you switch smartphones.

✍️ NOTES, BOOKMARKS, QUOTES
Highlight a passage – save a quote, add a note, or bookmark. Quotes are collected in a separate collection, searched by text, and transformed into a beautiful image that can be shared. A dictionary and translation are available for each selected word.

📥 FULL OFFLINE
Downloaded books remain on your device: on a plane, on the subway, on a train, at your dacha without service, or while roaming, your library works just like at home. The app takes up little space – you only store the books you've opened.

Classics aren't just "thick novels."
