PHYSICAL CYBER DEFENCE
Keep your hotel rooms, devices, 2FA keys and documents safe while you are out. Don't miss important time-codes again. Defend personal sized spaces, home labs and data racks against physical advanced persistent threats.
- Recycle a disused Android handset into a SafetyGuard device and turn it into a safety defending watchful eye over your personal spaces.
- Computer vision based presence detection (object detection, motion tracking & facial recognition).
- Receive end-to-end encrypted alerts with photos and location direct from your device whenever an event occurs.
- Pin Lock the app so bio-metrics or pin code are required to turn off presence detection or change settings.
- Doesn't stream video feeds so respects privacy of others in co-working spaces and co-living environments.
- Designed to work on moderately priced Android devices with basic gaming capabilities.
- Sends notifications to your main phone via Email, Telegram or Pushover.
- Low data prepaid SIM friendly.
WHO SAFETYGUARD IS FOR:
We are focusing on physical cybersecurity to begin with because if hardware devices and physical spaces are compromised then digital cybersecurity measures are meaningless.
We are dedicated to providing the safety of physical cybersecurity to these marginalised groups:
- the independent research science and engineering community,
- small-scale entrepreneurs and innovators,
- community service/welfare groups & the LGBTQI+ community,
- recently escaped victims of social & domestic conflict, and
- independent / investigative journalists.
OPTIONAL GUARDCLOUD REMOTE MONITORING IN-APP PURCHASE:
For critical environments, consider enabling GuardCloud remote monitoring:
- Ensure your SafetyGuard devices stay up and running with remote monitoring alerts about network health, device health and app outages as they happen.
- if enabled, sends regular heartbeats to our servers using cryptographically robust messages for tamper / vendor backdoor resistant communications (Receiver Salted HMAC SHA1024).
- only transmits the minimum of information required, is stored for the shortest time possible and never includes video or audio data.
SECURE BY DESIGN, SECURE BY DEFAULT:
- Does most processing on device in a privacy preserving manner that is suitable for classified environments.
- Doesn't store continuous video feeds or masses of sensitive data on our servers so governmental agencies and bad actors can't target us for your private information.
- Integrates with onboard security processors & secure enclave chips (on compatible handsets) to isolate bio-metrics data & cryptographic operations used with remote monitoring from rootkit jailbreaks and other tampering even if your device is compromised.
- No vendor back doors.
MINIMUM/RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS:
Android version:
- Minimum Android 12 and up
- Optimised for Android 14 and up
Handset performance:
- Minimum 100+ GFLOPS of GPU performance
- Recommended 400+ GFLOPS for advanced use cases

Note: The app works well on Adreno & Mali GPUs but hasn't been fully tested on others yet, so we recommend using those for now.
