I sincerely appreciate the care and effort put into this game. I really wanted to love it, and I hope there will be a future version which I can enjoy thoroughly. This one, however, felt overly ambitious, with lots of moving parts at the expense of storytelling and decent writing. Although the general plot is interesting and fun, it comes out in clumsy and often redundant chunks of text devoid of nuance, laced with painfully awkward dialogue, navigated with sloppy game mechanics. A for effort

this is a nice interactive fiction game. randomization of outcomes adds suspense and encourages freedom of choice, though it can be turned off. the writing is well suited for the genre. lots of content. could use another round of proofreading/ testing, but nothing that seriously detracted from the experience. i'm looking forward to the sequel(s).

Totally ignore the troll reviews!! This game is one of the best out there. The "rolling" mechanic for taking actions is actually very fun. It reminds me a lot of d&d and gives you a chance to try things that you might not be skilled at in stats. Plus you can easily adjust the difficulty or turn it off. However I totally recommend it! Over everything that's amazing is the sheer size of the game, nearly 1 millions words. You won't get to see everything in one playthrough and that's great. Love it!
