It's an underrated game that deserves more attention. It has inside jokes, hijinks, shenanigans, and a lovable cast of characters. For me, it was worth sacrificing some opportunities to improve my skill stats to interact with the people instead because it was such a joy hanging out with them. I appreciated the dnd-like game system because it was something I don't get to see from other "choose-your-own" adventure games. The only downside was that it ended 😛✌️

No text adventure game has captivated me this much and considered what could happen even if you fail a skill check. It doesnt just lead to a bad ending or a lessened reward, but another scenario or another present character helping you out. The characters truly feel like they are individuals to me, and i havent cared about npc's this much in a long time, not even for recent AAA titles. This story is a breath of fresh air after so many games where the successes and failures make little sense. ☺

100% would recommend, most of the characters are enjoyable and hanging with them during your free time provides great moments. Also, Ive never actually reset a game when my S/O died, but i had to because i was actually pretty bummed when it happened. The roll mechanic is great and it doesnt mess up the flow and you still feel like you have control and i love how you incorporated it. Im looking foward to the next book you publish or a sequelif you can pull it off.
