About this game

As a Minor Deity, you have a large Domain of sapient beings to rule over as you see fit. Can you gather enough faith to ascend to a higher level of divinity?

"Divine Ascension" is a thrilling 40,000-word interactive fantasy novel by Teemu Salminen, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

• Play as an all-powerful deity with total control over your Domain.
• Interact with six other Minor Deities, each with their own realm.
• Gather faith, divinity and power to protect or use those who have faith in you.
• Use your divine powers to bless or destroy your targets.
• Experience several possible endings – based on the choices you made during the story.

Your choices will decide the fate of your world!

This narrative game has two parts; the first part which I liked is a pretty standard choose your own adventure, and the second which I really didn't is a rudimentary, text only, turn based combat game. There are multiple endings, but most playthroughs will end in defeat. Unless you follow a very specific set of choices in the first part of the game you won't be able to reach the "best" ending. What even is the point a choice based game where most choices lead to failure? I do not recommend.

This one's free with ads, but you can also pay for it. Don't. It's incredibly short and has very little substance to it. The characters don't have much personality and the god you play is incredibly bland and generic. For being about gods it feels pretty mundane.
