Quality of Care is the assessment tool for IPPF Member Association assessors. It brings the IPPF
Quality of Care assessment framework to phones and tablets, so a service delivery point can be
assessed on the spot rather than on paper and typed up later.
WORKS WITHOUT A CONNECTION
Assessments are designed for clinics and mobile units where connectivity is unreliable or absent.
Every answer, comment and photo is stored on the device the moment it is entered, and syncs to the
IPPF Quality of Care platform as soon as a connection is available. Nothing waits on a network
request, and nothing is lost if the connection drops mid-assessment.
THE FULL ASSESSMENT
Work through the assessment section by section, with progress tracked per checklist and per
standard. Definitions and benchmarks for each indicator are available beside the question they
apply to, so there is no need to carry the companion guide separately.
EVIDENCE WHERE IT BELONGS
Attach photographs and documents directly to the question they support. Captured on the device,
stored with the assessment, uploaded with it.
SCORES AND ACTION PLANS
On completion, see the score for each IPPF Quality of Care standard and overall, banded as
Satisfactory, Needs Improvement or Critical. Build an action plan from the gaps the assessment
identified — observation, recommendation, who is responsible, timeline, support needed and how it
will be verified.
BUILT FOR THE TABLET
The tablet layout shows the section tree and the questions side by side, so you can move around a
long assessment without losing your place.
ENGLISH AND FRENCH
The full interface and assessment content are available in both.
