Luke, a doctor from ancient Antakya, reports in his Gospel about Jesus’ birth, his teaching and his miracles, his crucifixion and resurrection. All this happened during the time of the Roman Empire. The Gospel of Luke points out that Jesus is indeed the Messiah that God had promised by the ancient prophets.
