Moshidon is a modified version of the official Mastodon Android app adding important features that are missing in the official app, such as the federated timeline, unlisted posting and an image description viewer.

Key features

- Many colors: Brings material you theme and many colorful options for themes!
- Filtered posts!: The ability to have filtered posts show with a warning!
- Translate button: Brings a translate button!
- Toot language picker: Brings in a toot language picker!
- Unlisted posting: Post publicly without having your post show up in trends, hashtags or public timelines.
- Federated timeline: See all public posts from people on all other Fediverse neighborhoods your home instance is connected to.
- Image description viewer: Quickly check whether an image or video has an alt text attached to it.
- Pinning posts: Pin your most important posts to your profile and see what others have pinned using the “Pinned“ tab.
- Follow hashtags: See new posts from specific hashtags directly in your home timeline by following them.
- Answering follow requests: Accept or decline follow requests from your notifications or the dedicated Follow requests list.
- Delete and re-draft: The much-loved feature that made editing possible without an actual editing function.
- Extras: Brings many extra UI features, such as interaction icons on the Notifications and removing many annoyances with the original UI!

Ratings and reviews

Trying to save a draft post after editing it almost always results in a "record not found" error, and literally the only thing you can do if this happens is delete that draft and create a new one. Drafts as a feature was the main reason I downloaded this specific client so it really sucks that they don't actually work. Other than that, it's a fantastic improvement on the default app and I will happily change my rating if drafts start working.

This takes the fast and polished official Mastodon app and increases feature parity with the website. That's what this app feels like. My one issue with it right now is that I can't turn off notifications for certain interactions I don't want cluttering up my notification tab, such as favorites and boosts. I can turn off *push* notifications, which is good, but not in-app ones. So I have to delete them one-by-one if one of my posts gets even a little bit popular. (I still want my mentions.)

Best experience for mastodon that I've had hands down. After trying client after client, THIS is the client that actually made me want to engage with my mastodon account. Looks clean, loads fast, intelligent design with a few handy and clever shortcuts baked in. Love it. Edit: over 6 months later this is STILL my favorite and, imo, best mastodon client for Android hands down!
