"Unannounced Calls" is a simulated voice phishing training app. Once you sign up, you will receive training calls at an unknown time. The scammers impersonate delivery companies, the prosecution, banks, or family members, speak as if they are real, and answer when asked to repeat themselves. You will be notified that it was a training session before the call ends.
■ Why There Is No Warning
While there is a lot of voice phishing prevention education, it is all a training exercise where you manually enter and answer the call. Anyone can easily answer such calls. The reason scam calls are dangerous is that they arrive at a moment when you are not ready to answer. Therefore, this app does not tell you when the training will arrive.
■ How It Works
1. Verify your mobile phone number and agree to the training conditions.
2. Select the type of call you want to receive: delivery, impersonation of an institution, loan, payment notification, or impersonation of a family member.
3. You will receive a call at an unknown time, approximately once a week, during weekday daytime hours.
4. Once the call ends, check the app to see how far the conversation went and what was said.
5. The next call will use a different method.
■ Five Safety Rules
· Agree at the time of sign-up; cancel immediately with a single switch. · Before hanging up, you must inform the caller that it was a drill.
· Stop immediately if they start calling out your account number or verification code. The actual value is not saved.
· Even if you fail, you will not receive a more difficult call. It is a drill, not a test.
· Voice recordings are not stored on the server. What remains is only the transcript with the judgment and actual value obscured.
■ What It Is Not
· The caller ID is not changed to that of the Prosecutor's Office or a bank. This is prohibited by law, and actual scam calls also come from unfamiliar numbers.
· It is not a test. No scores are assigned, and no comparisons are made with others.
· It is not a reporting agency. For actual damages, please report to 112 or the Financial Supervisory Service at 1332.
■ Learning
For each type of call, there is information on how real agencies behave differently and what specific actions you must take. You can listen to the script in advance through practice calls you make yourself.
■ To Those Installing for Parents
You must authenticate using your own number and consent personally. Calling someone who is unaware that they are participating in the drill is not a drill; it is a form of harm.
