I recommend this strategy to everyone who really wants to learn a language. If you just think it's cool to be able to say a few words in another language, there are tons of those apps, and they even do a better job teaching vocabulary; however, if you want to understand a language well enough to figure out what to say in any given situation (and why), this app will help you get to the next level in ways that you can apply in real-life situations. Use both plus immersion where you can.

The closest thing you'll ever find to a (good) on-demand personal language tutor (FREE). Much thanks to the guy that created this, I sent some money cuz he deserves it. He gives important tips & background of the language and spends just the right amount of time focusing on pronunciation, compared to most that either don't help much to at all with pronunciation, or focus too much on it & make the lessons a painfully repetitive grind. People can repeat/practice endlessly on their own. Chinese?🙏

I cannot believe an app that is this good for learning a foreign language is free. I have always liked Pimsleur, and have used duolingo for lack of better alternatives. LT fills a huge void in that it explains features of the language to the learner, rather than just expecting them to memorize everything, or eventually pick the grammar patterns. I'm doing Greek and I am very impressed!
