The Locator is an application designed by the Valentin Haüy Foundation, an organization dedicated to serving blind and visually impaired people since 1889.
- Simplified access to information
Modern news sites are designed for visual reading: complex layouts, animated ads, tag clouds… all these are obstacles for a person with a visual impairment.
The Locator transforms this information into a linear, streamlined, and fully accessible presentation. Newspapers, magazines, and news sites are restructured for smooth reading, compatible with VoiceOver and iOS accessibility settings.
- A universal audio player
Podcasts, audiobooks, live and on-demand radio. All this in an interface designed for accessibility:
- Navigation by chapters and tracks
- Adjustable reading speed
- Compatible with the main platforms for blind and visually impaired people (Éole, ABS, and many others)
- Navigation assistance
GPS location, nearby public transport, real-time bus schedules. Available in Paris, Lyon, Lille, Marseille, and many other French cities.
- Voice recorder: easily record and retrieve your voice memos.
- Calendar: manage your events, synchronized with your Apple Calendar.
