Slip Studio is a calm place to shape clay.
Pull a vase, a bowl, a cup, or a bottle from a slow-spinning wheel. Pinch a pair of amphora handles onto the sides and drag to shape them. Trim the foot at leather-hard. Pour two glazes for a soft top-to-bottom gradient. Scratch through with a needle for a carved sgraffito pattern. Fire it in the kiln and watch the raw chalky coat melt into a glossy finish.
