Welcome to the game of Champions against Ebola: let’s fight Ebola!
WHAT DO I DO?
Play this quiz game to test what you know already, and learn what to do to protect yourself and your family against Ebola.
At each stage we show you a situation and give you some options on how to react. You choose the right answer.
STACK UP YOUR STARS!
For every right answer you win a star.
Your star total helps you monitor your progress and activate different avatars.
ACTIVATING AVATARS:
As you progress through the game you collect stars to activate the different avatars.
You can then select different outfits. Here are the different avatars, and their roles in the fight against Ebola
- Health worker: works inside the health centres
- Carer : looks after the sick person
- Doctor : manages the patients
- Community worker : works in the community – in the home and in the village
- Ebola worker : works against Ebola in high risk areas
- Champion : that’s YOU, combating Ebola every day
SHARE THE MESSAGES
Every time you answer a question, you can share the illustrated message with your friends and your community. This will spread information, allowing everyone to learn how to protect themselves against Ebola and other diseases. At the end of each game, you can also share your Health Ambassador certificate to show your friends your results and challenge them to do the same by playing the game. The more you share this game, the more people will play it, and the stronger the fight against Ebola will become!
EBOLA
Ebola is a serious, often fatal disease that affects certain regions of the world. However, simple hygiene practices allow us to protect ourselves against it. Furthermore, these practices also help you and your loved ones protect yourselves against other diseases.
A COMMITTED GAME
This game was developed by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and Pixel Impact to provide a response to the Ebola epidemic striking the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Together, we worked to create this first humanitarian game, enabling local populations to adopt the gestures that protect against Ebola and thus halt the epidemic's progression by reaching as many people as possible. This game also serves to raise global awareness of MSF's actions and the importance of humanitarian aid in helping the most vulnerable populations!
