Election Center hosts four in-person convenings a year.

January finds us in the Nation’s Capital for our Joint Election Official Liaison Conference (JEOLC), where we hear from government agencies, Hill staff, and non-profit partners about their work in the upcoming months. Our committees also meet to set the course for the year.

February is the first of two workshops. Agenda topics are determined by membership selection from award submissions from the previous year. These peer-chosen practitioner sessions are augmented by research and academic work.

April workshops focus on state associations and state training. Networking leaders responsible for the training and certification of election professionals, we share ideas about association governance, communication channels, conference planning, facilitation strategies, and curriculum content.

Fall is the time for many elections, and our annual conference is where the committees meet, vendors share the latest in election-related products, and election professionals build lasting relationships. Inspiring keynote speakers, plenary and breakout sessions, award presentations of innovations in the field of election administration, the graduation of our Certified Elections and Registration Administrators/Vendors (CERA & CERV), and a tour of the local election office round out the event. It is a conference that is not to be missed.
