OpenTopoMap Viewer is a practical topographic map app for hiking, cycling and exploring outdoors. View detailed raster maps, follow your location, open recorded tracks and keep useful places on the map.
MAPS AND LOCATION
Choose from OpenTopoMap, OpenTopoMap-R, Top-O-Map, OpenStreetMap, OpenHikingMap and Freemap.sk. Optional Waymarked Trails overlays show hiking and cycling routes.
Follow your current location, view coordinates and elevation, rotate the map using compass or GPS bearing, and switch to fullscreen for a clearer map view.
GPX TRACKS AND KML
Open GPX files containing tracks, routes and waypoints. Zoom to the complete track and inspect its distance, elevation profile, description and waypoint details.
KML and KMZ files can also be displayed when KML support is enabled.
MARKERS AND NEARBY PLACES
Press and hold the map to add a marker. Markers are stored on the device and can be named, described, colored, moved or deleted. Marker labels can be shown from a selected zoom level.
Import markers from GPX waypoints or export your saved markers to a GPX file. Nearby Wikipedia places can be browsed and shown on the map.
OPTIONAL ROUTE PLANNING
Connect your own OpenRouteService API key to search for places and calculate routes between marker waypoints.
Routing profiles are available for:
• Car and truck
• Regular, road, mountain and electric bicycles
• Walking and hiking
• Wheelchair
Calculated routes are displayed as GPX tracks with route details and elevation data. OpenRouteService features require an internet connection and are provided by an independent external service.
OFFLINE MAP USE
Previously viewed map tiles remain available according to the configured cache limits. Compatible OpenTopoMap tile ZIP archives can also be imported into the offline cache before a trip.
Online maps, nearby Wikipedia places, place search, route calculation and online elevation lookup require an internet connection. GPS location, imported files, saved markers and cached or imported map tiles can be used without one.
