Recognize nature in one click! Take a photo in Europe or the Dutch Caribbean and find out which species it is. Collect all your wildlife observations in the app. You'll be rewarded with tips to find new species, earn badges, and be invited to join challenges. Create groups with colleagues, family or friends, to share your stunning nature observations. Your observations, and those of others, contribute to biological research and knowledge about nature. ObsIdentify only recognizes wild animals, plants and mushrooms in Europe and the Dutch Caribbean. Please do not use the app for selfies, people, pets, house or garden plants.

Cannot save observations - the app requires location permissions. Even after I have given those, I cannot save my observations. I wish I could create a list of the animals I observed..

I just love(d) this app. This morning I added several observations.... however when I got home the dashboard showed a total of ZERO. Now, 1 hour later, also ALL observations are gone! The badges are still shown. Can someone help please?!

Dear B H, are you still logged in? You can check by going to the Dashboard and see if your name is still visible at the top. If our server is offline, it could also stop the observations from loading. If both of these cases is not the issue, could you please contact us at info@observation.org? Awesome service. The app can be buggy but mostly works well, and I'm glad to have it. My top two requests: (1) more sort options for my observations: by location, animal type, etc. and maybe a way to combine duplicates so I can just see a list of local species I've identified, (2) a widget/shortcut directly to the camera feature, as when I see an insect I want to be able to take a picture before it leaves. (I prefer not to use the normal camera app for this, as I don't like to geotag my photos.)
