Clean Swell® makes it easy for anyone to make an impact. When you head out to clean up in your neighborhood, beach, or park use Clean Swell to be a part of long-lasting solutions. With this app you can easily record each item of trash you collect, which helps scientists and advocates around the world tackle ocean trash at a global scale. Clean Swell makes it easy for you to become a champion for our ocean with ways to get involved in our Action Center and share your work with your friends and family.

Join thousands of International Coastal Cleanup® volunteers who are working for a cleaner ocean by picking up millions of pounds of trash each year. Simply open Clean Swell and “Start Collecting” trash wherever you are around the world. The data you collect will instantaneously upload to Ocean Conservancy’s global ocean trash database. Anytime, anywhere, you can use Clean Swell to see the impact you’ve had on our ocean and get involved in the fight for trash free seas.

With Clean Swell you can:

Ratings and reviews

The app is easy to use, but should provide the option to add items in bulk (i.e. +100 pieces of styrofoam all at once instead of tapping the icon 100 times). Also, when i try to look at my past clean-ups, it gives me an error telling me that I have a weak connection, even if I don't. Because of a long period of inactivity, the app booted me out and "submitted" my data, but i haven't received an email summary so I'm afraid they've lost the data. Also, I need the ability to edit past clean ups.

Had the coastal clean up today but app wouldn't let me confirm finishing the clean up. I tried closing it and reopening, I tried restarting, etc. and it just wouldn't let me submit/finish. I also recommend being able to input the trash types and other data (time it took, distance) for past clean ups, or, in this case, clean ups you can't input the first time, instead of only being able to put in the weight of trash.

I loved using this app. However, I just installed the update, and now the finish button doesn't work when I am done tracking a clean-up. This isn't good since this app is used for international coastal cleanups!!! 👎 8/14, still doesn't work. I've reached out with no response. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and now it says my email isn't registered. DELETE!! 🙄 1 star. I'll track my own cleanups elsewhere, but ICC isn't going to get REAL DATA. Boo to you! 👎👎👎👎👎
