About this app

This app turns your Android phone into a tracker for SlimeVR Server or other supported server applications such as K2VR for IMU-based full body tracking. You can also run owoTrack on some Android-based Wear OS smartwatches.

This does not perform camera-based tracking; it does not use the phone's camera. owoTrack requires your device to have a gyroscope - some phones may lack this hardware.

If you have no other trackers and 1 phone, you can use this to get waist tracking only. For leg tracking, you will need at least 5 phones or some combination of official/DIY SlimeVR trackers, phones/watches (through owoTrack), Joycons (through SlimeVR Wrangler) to get 5 trackers in total. Tracking quality may vary depending on type of devices used.

Please note that some phone vendors will automatically kill this app when running in the background, or when the screen is off. Visit https://dontkillmyapp.com/ to view instructions on how to solve this.

It's really good. It works smooth. But sometimes it goes strange, if it isn't attached tight to you. Maybe because of my phone, but I have to turn it on again after every 1.20 hour. It's still pretty long duration of time, so I don't mind it that much. I'm really thankful for this "free tracker" app, because everyone has a smartphone.

My phone has an accelerometer and a gyro sensor but the app doesn't show that they're being utilized is this just part of the new app where you only need the magnometer and rotation sensor works great but I feel like if I could get those enabled it could work possibly better?

I have tried other apps and so far is this the only one I have got to work with psvr that isn't buggy to the point it crashes. I've used it with a phone on my waist, it does disconnect every now and then but if it works it works.

What's new

Updated sensor id, updated SDK to 33, merged Butterscotch's AtomicLong change. Updated minor aspects of the app courtesy of a particular big tech overlord introducing new hoops for unpaid app developers to jump through
