About this game
A new word every day, the same for everyone. You have six tries
to guess it and all day to think about it.
HOW TO PLAY
Type a five-letter Spanish word and press SUBMIT. The colors tell you
how close you are:
• Green: the letter is in the word and in the correct place.
• Yellow: the letter is in the word, but in a different position.
• Gray: the letter is missing.
At midnight, a new word arrives, the same for everyone, so you can
discuss it with whomever you want without anyone getting ahead.
DESIGNED FOR SPANISH LANGUAGE
It's not an English game with the words changed:
• The Ñ is on the keyboard, where it belongs, and appears in the solutions.
• You don't have to struggle with accents: type "razon" and the game accepts it as
correct. At the end, it shows you the word with the correct accent, RAZÓN.
• Over 10,000 words accepted as attempts and 1,000 solutions chosen
from the most frequently used words in real Spanish, not dictionary rarities.
• When you get it right, we tell you what the word of the day means.
IF YOU GET STUCK
Four clues that unfold separately, so you can choose how much help
you want without getting the solution all at once:
• The first letter.
• The last letter.
• How many vowels it has.
• If any letters are repeated.
YOUR STREAK, AND HOW NOT TO LOSE IT
The streak counts consecutive days, not wins: if you skip a day, it breaks.
But every seven days you earn a wildcard, and a wildcard covers the day you couldn't play. You can accumulate up to two. This way, the game supports you instead of punishing you for having a bad week.
In the statistics, you can see your games played, your success rate, your current and highest streak, how many tries it usually takes to guess correctly, and a summary of the last seven days.
NINE ACHIEVEMENTS
First Word, Eye for Deal (guess it in two tries), Luck or Magic (first try), One Week, One Month, Regular, Veteran, Ten Wins, and Precision.
SHARE WITHOUT SPOILERS
When you finish, you can share your result as a grid of emojis. It shows how many tries it took and which path you followed, but it doesn't reveal the word: whoever receives it can still play.
FREE MODE
Is one word a day not enough? Free mode gives you unlimited games whenever you want. It doesn't count towards your streak or affect your stats: it's for playing, not competing.
FOR EVERYONE
• Colorblind mode: blue and orange instead of green and yellow, which are distinguishable with any type of colorblindness.
• Light and dark themes, or the one configured on your phone.
• Compatible with screen readers: the board and keyboard are read aloud in text and color, so you can play without looking at the screen.
• Optional daily reminder. If you've already played, it won't bother you.
THREE TIPS TO GET STARTED
1. Start with a word with many different vowels: eliminate a lot at once.
2. Don't repeat letters that already came up gray on your second attempt.
3. A yellow letter tells you two things: that it's there, and that it DOESN'T belong in that square.
