PeerWave
PeerWave is a federated messaging and collaboration app.
Instead of a single central service, PeerWave allows you to connect to independently operated servers.
You choose which server to use. Each server is responsible for storing and managing its own user data.
Key features
• Federated architecture – connect to servers you trust
• Account login using modern authentication (Passkeys, Magic Link)
• Messaging and collaboration features
• No ads and no tracking
• Open protocol, open ecosystem
Data responsibility & privacy
PeerWave itself does not operate a central backend.
User data such as email address, display name, profile picture, and authentication credentials is stored only on the selected server.
The app developer does not have access to user data processed by third-party servers.
Each server operator is responsible for:
• Stored user data
• Privacy policy
• Account deletion requests
You can view server operator information directly inside the app before logging in.
Who is this app for?
PeerWave is designed for:
• Communities
• Teams
• Privacy-conscious users
• From small companies to large enterprises
• Self-hosted and independent server operators
Important notes
• This app does not include advertising or analytics tracking
• Push notifications may be provided via Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Server availability and data handling depend on the chosen server operator
