WHAT YOU WORK THROUGH

Kitchen: cookware and the PFAS behind most non stick coatings, food storage, water bottles, kettles and tea bags.
Water: microplastics, lead and forever chemicals, and the water filters that actually remove them.
Bedroom and laundry: mattresses, bedding, and the synthetic fabric that sheds every wash.
Bathroom: shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen and toothpaste, read for fragrance, formaldehyde releasers and ethoxylated ingredients.
Baby and kids: bottles and feeding, formula, wipes, diapers and toys.

Each source explains what the research found, what to use instead, and the way to do it for nothing, because the cheapest swap is usually a habit.

WHAT A CHECK TELLS YOU

Whether the formula carries a known hazard. What the product and its packaging are made of, down to the polymer, so you know if it is PET, polypropylene, or a plastic free material like glass or steel. Phthalates and BPA included. Whether it has been recalled or sued over. What independent labs measured, including heavy metals like lead and cadmium. A product that misses any of the four gets no recommendation, which is why you will see honest blanks.

Every verdict is the one published at plasticdetox.org, updated in the background, so a recall reaches you without waiting for an app update.
