About this app

Audio Cues is designed for live performance. With just an Android phone or tablet, you can create and run simple audio designs for theatre, dance, and other live entertainment. Backing tracks for musicians, sound effects for magicians: all are possible with this simple app.

In-App Purchase: Unlimited Shows and Cues
Audio Cues permits up to 2 shows on each device and up to 10 cues per show without any payment or registration. An in-app purchase adds support for Unlimited Shows and Cues. In-app purchases are connected to Google accounts rather than individual devices, so the Unlimited Shows and Cues package will be recognized wherever you download the app with your account.

New version in August 2024
Version 2024.08.1 is a bug fix release that resolves some longstanding issues. Most importantly, Fade cues now run correctly on Android 8 and later even when system animations are disabled.

Features
Audio Cues supports five kinds of cues:
Audio cues work with all standard audio file formats, including WAV, OGG and more.
Fade cues can change a targeted audio cue's volume and pan from one channel to the other.
Stop cues immediately stop targeted audio cues.
Pause/Play cues act as a toggle switch, pausing or playing the targeted audio cues depending on whether they're currently playing.
Go to cues let you jump to another cue and optionally play it right it right away.

Other features include:
• Integration with Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox to transfer audio files to your Android device
• Support for Bluetooth media remote controls, keyboards, and Flic 2 buttons to trigger cues during performances
• Backup and restore shows to ZIP files

Keyboard shortcuts:
• Up and down cursor keys to scroll through the cue list
• Space bar to trigger the Go button
• Esc to stop all running cues
• Configurable keyboard shortcuts for navigation and running cues

Importing Audio Files
Import audio files from:
• File sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive
• An SD card or thumb drive
• The device's internal storage

We recommend Audacity, a free desktop application, for creating audio files.

Professional audio guy here. This app has releived me of having to carry my qlab machine everywhere. Just finshed up Tekko anime convention where track acts and sound effects were abundant. 100% solid. Only note is it would be awesome if you could import multiple audio files at the same to save time. Overall easier than qlab for quick audio cues and such a joy to use. A big thank you to the developer. Heres hoping you make a lot more shows go a lot smoother. Cheers to you sir or madam.

It pops a little when hitting the cues, it's verry noticeable, even if I set fades or set the start time of the file later. I'm a professional audio engineer and would love it if I didn't have to ride the fader for ques. Pls fix this is an amazing app otherwise EDIT: after some research, I found it was the phones driver. thank. you for the reply and assistance! great app.

Im finally putting this app through is paces and it has made my life so much easier. Juggling mic mutes and cues has always been difficult. With this app I know I can trust my cues to run as planned so I can focus on my mics. Also knowing I can backup my entire show cues and files to give it to another tech to run puts my mind at ease. I just wish there was a way to edit audio clips in app such as cutting a 55min clip down to 5mins to save memory or remove a pop from the end of a sound clip.

I'm glad you like the app! I sometimes use WavePad for editing audio files on an Android device. I'm hoping to add hooks between Audio Cues and apps like WavePad so you can open a file from Audio Cues storage for editing.
