About this app

Do you want to learn Biblical Greek? Do you want to study on the go on your phone? Download Scripturial and start practicing now. Our goal is to make the study of ancient languages enjoyable and accessible to as many people across the world as possible.


Scripturial contains approximately 30 hours of content. Each practice activity is approximately 3-5 minutes long. Complete 3 or 4 lessons per day to complete the course in about 6 months. Lessons contain a mix of text, audio, and pictures.

The main focus of this app is to provide graded comprehensible input designed to help you get comfortable reading Biblical Greek. The practice activities cover more than 50% of grammatical concepts found in a Biblical Greek textbook.

1. This application requires listening to audio and viewing pictures. You will need to use headphones and/or unmute your phone.
2. Active users will receive local notifications to help you reach your study goals.
3. Minor typos or other minor issues may exist. You can use the feedback button in the app, using the support link, or on Facebook.

What's new

Based on feedback, version 3 changes how users access Scripturial app. Features that caused need for a sign in process such as email notifications and the team ladder, are replaced with offline equivalents so that everyone can learn without need for an email address or internet access. Email notifications are replaced with on phone local notification. Gamification functionality is replaced with an offline achievements system. A beta version of the new flashcard system is also included.
