About this app

Sefaria delivers 3,000 years of Jewish texts (Torah, Tanakh, Mishnah, Talmud, and more) to your smartphone. All texts in the library are available in Hebrew along with a growing body of English translations. Search by keyword or browse the table of contents to explore texts, translations, and commentaries. Plus - the entire library can fit on your phone (500MB) so you can learn while you're offline.

Sefaria is a non-profit organization that creates open source software and publishes digital texts with open licenses.

Ratings and reviews

Lots of great content. But in an age where translations become the channel that students rely on to access the texts, it is all the more important to stick to traditional readings of the texts. Any other translation can be placed as commentary.. Editors - please add a pop up to allow the user to choose/be aware that a non traditional translation was used. Thanks!

There are weekly chapters, and the ability to read various texts, not only the Torah and Tanakh, is built in; there is also a siddur.

What a gem! Incredible, understated resource that just keeps getting better and better the more I use it.
